Margaret F. Howard 

BSc(Hons) DPM Chartered MCIPD LAM(Gold) FISTD FRSA

Margaret is Bushey born and attended The Rutts, Merryhill School & Watford Grammar School For Girls before reading Chemistry with Pure Mathematics & Economics at Leicester University. On graduating she studied for a postgraduate qualification in Personnel Management. 
Margaret started dancing, aged three, with Nell Jean Perkins in a tiny studio in Chestnut Rise in Bushey & then moved to The Star School of Dancing in Watford with Elizabeth Harrison. She danced, sang, acted & choreographed with every local Operatic Society in the area - Bushey Operatic & Dramatic Society being the favourite. In 1982 Margaret left full time employment as a Personnel Director with The Rank 
Organisation & trained at Harrison College qualifiying to teach Classical Ballet, Modern, Tap & National, she also holds Gold Medal from LAMDA for Verse & Prose & Acting. In 1988 she became a Fellow of the 
Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and was proud to be invited to become a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in 1995.
Margaret remains very involved in the life of the Schools particularly in Acting, Singing and at Showtime!

Michelle Spencer

Head of School
​ISTD Ballet/Tap/Modern & Jazz
​Teacher - LISTD

Miss Michelle has been teaching at MHTS since she graduated from the Margaret Howard Theatre College in 2010. Michelle teaches all disciplines and is a gifted artist, scenery designer and is our resident Wardrobe Mistress. Michelle also lectured at the Margaret Howard Theatre College and is now teaching for Momentum Performing Arts Academy. 
Michelle choreographs & performs with local amatuer 
operatic & dramatic societies. Michelle is qualified to DDE level (Diploma in Dance Education : Level 4) teaching Classical Ballet, Modern, Tap and Jazz.

Michelle also teaches for MHTS at Charlotte House Prep School in Rickmansworth

Helen Conway 

ISTD Ballet/Tap/Modern/Jazz Teacher
​& Exam Co-Ordinator - LISTD

Miss Helen, much loved & respected teacher  & the first member of The 25 Year Club - recognising 25 years of service, loyalty and dedication to the Margaret Howard Organisation in 2013. Helen was trained by Elizabeth Harrison at Harrison College. She graduated with Associate Ballet, Tap, Modern and National. After leaving College Helen continued her professional development achieving Associate Diplomas in Ballet & Tap and Licentiate status in Modern. Helen was a Lecturer for The Margaret Howard 
Theatre College tutoring students in Modern, Tap and Jazz to DDE (Diploma In Dance Education : Level 4) qualification as well as choreographing for major College performances and Shows. Helen continues to lecture for Momentum Performing Arts Academy.
Pupils that Helen has taught have gone on to major Performing Arts Colleges such as Bird College. Laine Theatre Arts, Performers & Margaret Howard Theatre College. Many of her pupils who became students are to be found on stage and screen, in Disneyland Paris and on board ship.​

Holly Penny

Street/Hip Hop & Jazz Teacher - ISTD Associate

Miss Holly was trained at the Margaret Howard Theatre Schools from age 12 years & at the Margaret Howard Theatre College before going to Bird College where she completed a National Diploma.
Since Graduating Holly has joined the well known Hip Hop company Boy Blue Entertainment. She has performed in the Olympic Opening Ceremonies, along side Dizzie Rascal, Rita Ora, The Sugar Babes and many more. She appeared in the UK tour of B.Supreme  performing at the South Bank Centre. Holly is a gifted choreographer creating individual pieces for the stage & for every classs that she teaches Holly teaches Hip Hop, Street & Musical Theatre. 

Holly now lectures at Momentum Performing Arts
Academy formerly  Margaret Howard Theatre College 
and offers the Teacher Training qualification - 
Associate in Street Jazz​

Gemma Ward 

ISTD Ballet/Tap/Modern Teacher - DDE

Miss Gemma trained at the Margaret Howard Theatre Schools from a young age, then continued her studies at MHTC, formally Harrison College where she completed her teacher training exams in Ballet, Tap and Modern Theatre dance, alongside her performance training. During her time at College Miss Gemma was awarded the status of Head Girl  Miss Gemma performed in Pantomime at the Alban Arena and in various Charity Galas at Sadlers Wells and The Palladium. Miss Gemma has a passion for teaching working at many prestigious schools and colleges both in and outside of London. Miss Gemma has completed her DDE exams in Ballet, Tap and Modern and is studying for Licentiate status.​

Natasha Bowen 

Acting & LAMDA Teacher

Miss Natasha graduated from The Margaret Howard Theatre College where she majored in character acting and singing roles.

Natasha played the role of The Witch in Into The Woods, Jennyanydots in CATS and Le Fou in Beauty & The Beast
Since leaving College Natasha has been teaching Acting.
Natasha teaches Acting for MHTS and offers LAMDA exams in all subjects. She has achieved a 100% pass rate with the majority of pupils gaining merits and Distinctions.

Natasha holds DDI in Modern and Tap and Gold Medal LAMDA in Verse & Prose and in Acting.​

Kate Graham

Singing Teacher
​BAHons, DipRAM, LRAM, ARAM

Following a BAHons from Durham University Kate studied Musical Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music graduating with a DipRAM, LRAM and was later made an honorary Associate of the RAM

Theatre credits include Tanya - Mamma Mia (Novello Theatre, London and International tour), originating the role of ‘Cherry Sundae’ in Sam Mendes’ Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane), Mrs Wilkinson - Billy Elliot (Victoria Palace theatre), 
Kate has a wide range of concert and recording experience, mostly with Capital Voices and sound- track recordings include Mary Poppins Returns, Galavant, Nine, Cats and Jesus Christ Superstar. 
Alongside her professional work Kate has always enjoyed working with private students at home and has taken masterclasses and private lessons at several colleges including LSMT, Millennium and RSAMD. She was also the assistant children’s director at Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, London and thoroughly enjoyed working with the talented mini cast on their performances. Kate is currently studying at the Guildhall for a PGCert in performance teaching.

Georgina Collings

 Musical Theatre & Singing Teacher

Georgie Collings began performing at the age of 3 when she joined The Margaret Howard Theatre Schools, where she was trained in ISTD Ballet, ISTD Tap, ISTD Modern Theatre Dance, Jazz, Commercial Dance and Musical Theatre.
At age 16, she began her 3 year professional training in performing arts and ISTD Teacher Training with MHTC and completed her final year at Momentum Performing Arts Academy. During this time, she gained experience working with top industry professionals such as Ben Darmanin, Philip Joel, Kevin Fountain, and many many more.
Since leaving Momentum PAA, she has begun her journey to becoming the professional performer she aspires to be, and enjoys bringing her passion for the arts and industry knowledge into her teaching.

Stephen Hill

Singing Teacher - FLCM, ARCM, Hon ARAM​

Stephen was born and educated in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, trained in law and then studied at the Royal College of Music, winning many prizes in addition to  an award for advanced vocal studies.

Stephen is a hugely experienced singer and vocal coach and for many years his group The Stephen Hill Singers recorded for various TV and radio productions.    Stephen has also been the Vocal Director for Elton John shows at the Royal Opera House and for his 2004 tour.  Stephen also has a long list of credits having appeared in various West End Shows such as Kismet, Jesus Christ Superstar and My Fair Lady to name a few!​
